The Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery department at BALCO Medical Centre plays a key role in the comprehensive management of head and neck cancers. As a specialised cancer centre, our focus is on early diagnosis, precise surgical treatment, and timely reconstruction to help patients regain function and confidence.
Our team performs a full spectrum of head and neck oncologic surgeries, including tumour excision, neck dissections, and complex reconstructions using local, regional, and microvascular flaps. We also manage facial trauma, oral pathologies, jaw disorders, and conditions related to cancer treatment, such as osteoradionecrosis, drug induced osteonecrosis.
Working closely with medical oncology, radiation oncology, pathology, radiology, and rehabilitation services, we ensure that every patient receives coordinated, evidence-based, and compassionate care. With advanced surgical expertise and a multidisciplinary approach, the department is committed to restoring speech, swallowing, appearance, and quality of life for all patients undergoing oral cancer treatment at BMC.
