Physician Connect: To provide a platform for continuous medical education and enable physicians to expand their knowledge base, the Physician Connect session covered diverse topics, including oncology for non-oncologists, nuclear medicine applications beyond oncology, sickle cell anaemia, thalassemia referral criteria, physicians' role in an oncology setup, and paediatric cancer diagnosis. The interactive workshop garnered great interest from physicians who were eager to learn about new advancements in cancer treatment and early detection tests. Dr. Bhawna Sirohi, Medical Director, BMC highlighted the importance of specific tests for early cancer detection, such as stool occult blood (FIT method), mammography for women above 45 years, PAP smear, oral examination and low dose chest CT for smokers. The workshop also emphasized the significance of HPV vaccination in preventing cervical cancer. More than 60 participants actively engaged throughout the session.
